A workshop was organized to focus the Blue Economy matrix, opportunities and constraints in context of South-West region of Bangladesh that was implemented by the Maritime Affairs Unit, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and funded by joint collaboration of European Union and Blue Economy in Bangladesh (EU-BGD). South West Aquaculture Advisory Network (SWAAN) assisted to organize the workshop selecting and communicating with the resource persons for highlighting multidisciplinary aspects of Blue Economy. The Workshop was held on 2nd May, 2017 in Khulna City INN Hotel consisted of one morning session of sector presentations and two afternoon sessions of brain storming for BE matrix development and synthesis of presentations and discussions. Representatives from different BE sectors attended the workshop and took part in discussions following eight thematic presentations delivered by respective resource persons.
